When I was eleven, we moved To San Diego for a few months. It was all very new to me. The weather mild, the environment So intriguing. Grand jade Plants in our backyard. Beautiful blue starfish in tidal pools Like alien hands. Our school Hallways were outside, lizards
Clung to the walls.
There I met such a pretty girl who lived Down the block. Her name was Tara (as in Sarah). She was eleven also. She played with my younger sister and I played with her younger brother.
